Amazing Beauty!!

Ok so i have to admit that picture is not from this mornings sunrise and actually today's was way better.

Anyway sunrise is my absolutely favorite time of the day! i can't believe so many people never see it their entire life!!

It's so cool cuz usually the mornings that i feel the worst and hating life the Lord provides the best sunrises!! I love it!

Another Lost Friend

One of the worst feelings in the world is when you lose friends to the World.

I recently found out that yet another one of my friends has walked away from the Lord and is now following completely after their flesh.

It seems in my life that this happens all the time! People that i think are so on fire for the Lord and that the Lord is doing and going to do great things through all of the sudden decide to do whatever they want and give in completely to their flesh.

I try and try to talk to them and if you know me at all i am a very upfront honest person (I'm working on doing it in love) but if you are messing up and doing things the Lord does not approve of i will usually confront you on it. Well that typically results in either them realizing it or not talking to me anymore.

In fact sometimes they stop talking to me and stop hanging around me when they are doing bad because they know what i am going to say without me saying a word.

anyway i lost yet another friend to the world. i pray that they come back to the Lord! He stands with open arms always waiting for His children to come back home!

I pray that we continue following after the things of the Lord and stop going back to the things of this world!

I pray that everyone who has left their first love (including me at times) would come back to the Lord! He is waiting with open arms for His prodigal child to return!!!

on a side note! i learned how to knit yesterday totally exciting!! thank you AMY!!

How Soon We Forget

Isn't it funny how the Lord teaches us something about what we are going through and it totally helps and it's awesome and then months or years later He shows us the exact same thing and then later the same thing again! it's crazy that we can continually forget the things that He shows us!

So today the little devotional that i read was awesome and totally something the Lord teaches me continually so i thought i would just let you read it!

I know, o Lord, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps. (Jeremiah 10:23)

Lead me in a straight path. (Psalm 27:11)

Many people want to direct God instead of surrendering themselves to be directed by Him. They want to show Him the way instead of submissively following where He leads.

I said, "let me walk in the field";
God said, " no, walk in the town";
I said " there are no flowers there";
He said,"no flowers, but a crown;"

I said," but the sky is black,
there is nothing but noise and din";
But He wept as He sent me back,
"There is more," He said "there is sin."

I said, "but the air is thick,
and smog is veiling the sun";
He answered, "yet souls are sick,
and your work is yet undone."

I said,"i will miss the light,
and friends will miss me, they say";
He answered me, "choose tonight
if i am to miss you, or they."

I pleaded for time to be given;
He said, "it is hard to decided?
It will not seem hard in heaven
to have followed the steps of your Guide."

I cast one look st the field,
then set my face to the town;
He said, " My child, do you yield?

We need to decide to trust the Lord no matter where He leads us and no matter what He does! He has a much better plan than we could ever imagine!!

why do we always try and do things on our own and make our own paths?

These are a few of the quotes from my devotional today and the book that i have been reading. most of the book does not talk about this but the part i read today did!

This spoke to me so much! for me i spend so much time in ministry and talking to people and just being busy with everything that i need to get done. Sometimes i completely forget to spend time with the Lord. Not that i don't want to spend time with Him and not that i don't have anytime that i am not doing anything. well i just forget to spend time with Him. usually because i end up distracting myself with everything else. sometimes i think well i am going to church tonight so that will be my time with the Lord today. But that's not enough!

I desire to spend time with the Lord everyday taking time out to completely devote to Him. I know that time is very important to Him to.

He desires to bless us and to fellowship with us. He desires our hearts and our love!

Friends we need to take that time and spend it with the Lord not spend it doing things for the Lord. yes we need to do things for the Lord, He has given us gifts for a reason but how are we supposed to do things for the Lord if we don't know Him and spend time with Him.

Let's make it a priority to spend time alone with the Lord everyday!!

God's Wrath

wow so i just finished listening to tim chaddicks podcast from nov 23 it was sooooo.... amazing! it's talking all about God's wrath not really something that we normally talk about or get excited about but it was so good! everyone needs to go listen to it will change your life! :)

Jesus took this great wrath upon himself for us! so crazy! we are so deserving of all of God's wrath but He instead gives us grace! not only does He fogive us but He gives us eternal life it's so amazing to me!

Praise the Lord!!

Last Day

So my parents decided it would be best to take a red eye home so we could spend the entire day in Hawaii! so first we woke up and got breakfast nothing to exciting!


then we drove to pali lookout nothing to exciting! my mom said that usually it is super windy up there and that you get practically blown away! it wasn't windy at all so i thought maybe she was a little crazy!


then we drove down some random beautiful roads! basically if it looked interesting or pretty we drove down it!!

a couple of the roads had beautiful tree tunnels it was amazing the picture doesn't really show it!


then we went off to hike the light house!

it was so fun! i love hiking! most of the path was paved which is not quite as fun but then when we got to the top of the path there was still more that could be climbed with these cool bunkers and stuff!


so we made our own path and started hiking it probably is not really supposed to be walked on at all but it was a lot of fun and from the top we could see all the sides of the island awesome!!

i saw this cool flower on the way up!

And while we were up there i saw a mongoose sooooo... cool it moved before i could take a picture but i found one on google in case you have never seen one before because i hadn't

the one i saw was bigger than this though!!

so then we drove down to the north shore! we wanted to go to these cool old surf towns and surf shops they were really cool!!!

WE ate lunch at killer tacos so good!!! it reminded me of chipotle cuz they make it however you want in front of you! but it was totally this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that was soooo... good!!!! i would totally suggest going there!!

then we continued to just drive around everywhere! we went as far as we could go to the west and while we were there we saw them filming lost which was pretty cool i guess! i don't watch the show so it wasn't that amazing!!

Then it was back to the hotel to shower and eat and then off to the airport!

so i saw this sign for a highway! like like hwy. it is pronounced differently in Hawaiian but i still think it was funny maybe i was just really tired!

so the flight was good i guess i took a Tylenol pm hoping to fall asleep of course i only got and hour and a half and we landed at 6:30 am so i am now exhausted! so dumb!!!

Oahu

So i am a day behind again sorry i am horrible at this thing oh well!

so yesterday we flew from beautiful Kauai to Oahu. Oahu is mostly this huge city and very touristy blah. but we soon found out that some of the island is very beautiful too!

we rented a car and decided to drive to the north shore! dad and i really wanted to see pipeline because the triple crown is going on right now and there was a huge swell that just came in! so off we drove

45 minutes later we were on the opposite side of the island on the way to pipeline we stopped at shark cove! (really we stopped cuz there was a bathroom and from there found out that it was a big cove pretty cool!)
Then we kept driving down the coast and came along this part of the beach between houses that there were lots of people watching the water so we decided lets get out and check out what's going on! we did and found out we were at pipeline!

the waves were huge!!!!! so dad took some pictures of the guys surfing here are a few!

Then we continued on down the coast to find somewhere to eat! on the way we saw a light house so we decided to stop at this little pier thing and take some pictures!

on the pier was this big garage shed thing we had no idea what it was for until this guy drove up and opened it!

come to find out that it had these real submarines in it! they are used for the university of Hawaii and the ocean institute there!! it was amazing! the guy that opened the door talked to us for a while about all the things they have been doing they were on discovery channel and everything it was soooooo... cool!

So then we went to the turtle bay hotel to eat lunch! this is one of my moms little Burger things look you can see the legs of the crab!
So then we drove a little more just looking around and taking pictures!!

then we drove back to the hotel to go get some dinner and do some shopping! we walked to the alamoana shopping center which was just down the street for dinner! we went to barns and noble and look what i bought!

It the bible in pidgin! so cool!!!

then we walked to the hard rock cafe for dessert! it was only another few blocks away!

then as we were walking back to our hotel we got a little lost it was kind of crazy but pretty fun!!!! what an exciting day!!
