my quilt!!!!!

Anyone remember this!??

for my 20th birthday i had everyone draw with fabric markers on a square of fabric! and then i was going to make them into a quilt. well my grandma and i got started on it and well it's been almost 2 years since then and she just finished it and gave it to me for christmas i am so excited it looks so awesome! you can't tell to well from this picture but it really is awesome!!!!

Last night we went to the childrens hospital again! it was such a blessing!! We talked to almost every kid there. most of them were so happy to see people that cared and were excited to get christmas presents!!!

we had so much fun passing out presents to them and singing songs with our light up raindeer aintlers! :) some of my favorites were this gril brianna that can't really move at all except her knees a little we just hungout with her and showed her love! another was this kid raymond he was totally fun we gave him one of those doodle pads and helped him draw! and let's see we went back to adam's room which was harder this time than last but it was good to see that he was doing better! and this kid marlin's room he is 18 so i guess not really a kid anyway please pray for him! we talked to him for a while just about the Lord and how when there is nowhere else to turn the Lord is there! so yeah it was awesome!!!

oh and as we left on the ground was this water spot (actually there were 2) in the shape of a heart i thought it was cool!!!!

Simplicity of Salvation!

I Love the Simplicity of salvation!

This morning as part of our Christmas service the kids church came in and sang a couple songs for the congregation it was so awesome to see all these little kids praising the Lord! one of the songs the chorus just said thank you Jesus thank you Jesus thank you Jesus for coming and saving us. i just sat there listening to it and think how simple it is Jesus came in human form to save us! that's it end of story! we don't have to do anything except receive the free gift of salvation so amazing! we are so undeserving!

And so many times we try and make things harder and more work than they are! it's so simple! We are forgiven! lay all your burdens down at the feet of Jesus and leave them there we don't need to think about the things we have done in the past just worship the Lord now and serve Him with everything that we have!!! We forget about the true power of the Cross. does the cross mean nothing?

anyway be blessed! and remember you are forgiven!!

Missed opportunities

SO you know when you hear the Lord telling you to do something and you know ok i am supposed to do this and then you chicken out and don't do it. well that is me right now. On Tuesday night i hear the Lord telling me to do something and for some reason i talked myself out of doing it. I was afraid of the whole situation and what was going to happen and everything. so i didn't step out and do it. Now i feel horrible i saw someone today that reminded me of the situation and my heart just broke i should have listened to the Lord and stepped out of my comfort zone! ugh i hate this feeling! Now Satan is telling me "Your such an idiot i can't believe you would call yourself a servant of the Lord when you let your fear get in the way." I let Satan get a foothold and know i don't know what to do.

Lord forgive me for not obeying You and missing the opportunity to serve Your people. Stop Satan from making me feel horrible and depressed about it.

Friends if the Lord is telling you to do something do it cuz you don't want to look back later at the missed opportunity and feel the way i do now.

Adam

2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

So there is a group of high school students and a few others that go on Monday nights to visit and worship with and pray for people. Usually they go to a children's hospital or to visit people with cancer or other people that are sick. All semester i wanted to go so bad but i didn't get out of class on Mondays until it was to late. So this last Monday i didn't have class so i got to go!

I was really excited! when i got there i found out that the person (Jake) that usually leads worship wasn't going to be there. (actually i found out Jake wouldn't be there earlier in the day but didn't realize that he was the one who always led worship) so anyways they asked if i could lead worship before we left! of course i said yes and went to get my guitar out of my car. I was so blessed to be able to worship with these students!

Anyway then off we went to the children's hospital. it was amazing i was so blessed!!! we spent most of the night in a kid named Adam's room. Adam's dad was in there to so we were able to pray with him and pray for him and for Adam and worship with them and everything. I have not had that awesome of a time in worship and prayer in a really long time! A lot of it had to do with Adam laying there not fully awake reminded me a lot of my friend Chris when he was in the hospital after his motorcycle accident. At first i didn't even know if i would be able to stay in the room with everyone because it brought back all the memories and heart ache of Chris but the Lord soon should me what we were there for.

Anyway i was so incredibly blessed by the whole night! as most of you know my uncle and my grandpa died this year along with my friend Chris almost dyeing and being in the hospital a long time and mom and my other grandpa and Pete being in the hospital it has been a very hard year! but the Lord is working it out and He has a plan for everything!!

MY KING!

OK so Frank read this on Tuesday night and it really hit me do we really KNOW the Lord??

cuz i don't think we really do!

The Bible says my King is a seven-way king....He's the King of the Jews; that's a racial king....He's the King of Israel; that's a national King....He's the King of Righteousness....He's the King of the Ages.....He's the King of Heaven....He's the King of Glory....He's the King of kings, and He's the Lord of lords. That's my King. Well....I wonder, do you know Him?.... David said, "The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork. My King is a sovereign King. No means of measure can define His limitless love. No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shore less supply. No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out His blessings. He's enduringly strong....He's entirely sincere....He's eternally steadfast....He's immortally graceful....He's imperially powerful....He's impartially merciful.......That's my King Do you know Him?
He's the greatest phenomenon that ever crossed the horizon of this world. He's God's Son....He's a sinner's Saviour....He's the centerpiece of civilization....He stands in the solitude of Himself....He's august....He's unique....He's unparalleled....He's unprecedented....He's the loftiest idea in literature....He's the highest personality in philosophy....He's the supreme problem in higher criticism....He's the fundamental doctrine of true theology....He's the cardinal necessity for spiritual religion....That’s my king He's the miracle of the age.... He's the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him....He's the only one qualified to be an all sufficient Saviour...... I wonder if you know Him today?
He supplies strength for the weak....He's available for the tempted and the tried....He sympathizes and He saves....He strengthens and sustains....He guards and He guides....He heals the sick....He cleanses lepers....He forgives sinners....He discharges debtors....He delivers captives....He defends the feeble....He blesses the young....He serves the unfortunate....He regards the aged....He rewards the diligent....and He beautifies the meek....... I wonder if you know Him?
Well, my King....is the King....He's the key to knowledge....He's the wellspring to wisdom....He's the doorway of deliverance....He's the pathway of peace....He's the roadway of righteousness ....He's the highway of holiness....He's the gateway of glory....... He’s the master of the mighty… He’s the captain of the conquerors…. He’s the head of the heroes… He’s the leader of the legislators… He’s the overseer of the over comers… He’s the governor of governors…. He’s the prince of princes… He’s the King of Kings… And He’s the Lord of Lords Do you know Him?
Well....His office is manifold....His promise is sure....His light is matchless....His goodness is limitless....His mercy is everlasting....His love never changes....His word is enough....His grace is sufficient....His reign is righteous....and His yoke is easy, and his burden is light. I wish I could describe Him to you, but He's indescribable....He's incomprehensible....He's invincible....He's irresistible.
Well, you can't get Him out of your mind....You can't get Him off of your hand....You can't out live Him, and you can't live without Him....The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him....Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him....The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree....Herod couldn't kill Him....Death couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold Him. Yea!!!, that's my King, that's my King.
He always has been And He always will be I’m talking about He had no predecessor and He’ll have no successor There was nobody before Him and there’ll be nobody after Him You can’t impeach Him and He’s not going to resign
That’s my King! Praise the Lord That’s my King Thine is the Kingdom....and the Power....and the Glory....Forever"....and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever. How long is that? And ever...and ever...and when you get through with all the forevers, then.... AMEN!....AMEN!


Let's get to know Him!!!

Christmas Decorations

so my dad and i decided that we wanted to decorate the house to day for Christmas! Every year my mom puts tons and tons of Christmas stuff all around the house like way more than anyone would ever need in a life time it's ridiculous so my dad and i decided we are taking over that's it so here's how it looks

Alright so really that's not how we are decorating we just wanted to see my moms reaction because my grandparents were coming over and we figured she would die! She totally laughed and then said really take it down :)

but really she leaves Tuesday and comes back the 23rd so really have the freedom to decorate however we want and we are going with as little as possible I'll put some pictures up when we finish for real!
