alright i am in Hawaii and it is amazing as usually really it's just nice to be away from home!! in fact i already got one paper finished just one more to go! so anyway! yesterday we flew in and basically just went to the hotel got some food walked the beach and went to bed! it was an exhausting day!!

today we decided to hike to diamond head crater. we do not have a rental car on this island so we decided lets just walk there we looked it up on the map and it seemed to be only about a 2.5 mile walk not bad! so we walked little did we realize it would be more of a climb to get there than a walk (it was mostly up hill). but it was fun! once we reached the bottom of the crater it's another mile to the top which is definitely a hike. it was not the easiest thing we have done but not even close to the hardest so it was good! there were 284 stairs to climb in this 1 mile hike up. (yes i counted and by the way there are 183 up to our room from the bottom of the hotel) so after we hiked up and down we got ourselves so shave ice and made the long walk back to the hotel and up the stairs to our room! by the way the entire trip was a little over 8 miles! kind of long but it was a lot of fun!!

Hawaii here i come!!

in about 3 hours i will be leaving for hawaii and i am so excited! hopefully i didnt forget to pack anything!!

i'll post some updates while i am there and post some beautiful pictures!

Family Life Education

So i think i might have finally decided on a new major. well i'm not completely sure yet but i am interested in this new path. It's called family life education it's actually a major in family and consumer sciences with an option in family life education. Here is what the departments website says that the possible careers are from this degree

-Parent Educator
-Family Life Educator in Government, Private, or Business Setting
-Coordinator for Public Policy Issues Affecting Children and Families
-Research Facilitator for Projects Focusing on Children, Adolescents, and Families
-Bereavement Counselor for Children and Families
-Teen and Adolescent Counselor
-Consultant to Work with Military Families
-Healthcare Consultant
-Work in a Ministry Setting

no joke it really says work in a ministry setting

anyway all the classes seem like they are going to be very interesting!

i'm excited to finally have a little bit of direction in school!

hair fun

yay christian!! to bad he is making a funny face!! oh well!

so this is what happens when i have a little to much time on my hands and a semi new hair cut!!

ok so it looks a little gross it took a lot of wax to make it stay long enough to take a picture but it was totally fun!!!! and well i have always wanted to have a mohawk! maybe i should do it for real i have tons or random pictures of shaping my hair to do awesome things it was fun!!

oh and i took my amazing dog to the beach today with my dad it was awesome! by the way she can now bark n comand it's awesome!

Daytona time

so one of my absolute favorite things to do after a crazy day at work or school is play with my puppy! so i spent sometime playing with her and brushing her dreadlocks out of her hair! it was awesome! i love her she is just so stinking cute oh and btw she really needs a bath haha

broken phone=chaos

i never realized how much i depend on my cell phone! well i don't really but i do.

you see i can go all day without it no problem i have left it home before and well i'm not the kind of person that has to turn around right now and go get it. i'll just do without it for the day. i honestly dont have that many people call me so it's not that big of a deal. however this weekend when my phone broke it was kind of a big deal first of all i had no numbers so everyone needs to give me theirs again if you ever want me to call you. so that raised a few problems.

so my phone fully died on sat. well sunday was the time change of course i rely on my phone for time and my alarm so getting up sunday morning was going to take some work. i plugged my alarm clock in which of course was not set to the right time any more so then i had to search the house trying to figure out if the clocks were already set for the next morning or not. (my dad usually sets them the night before) it was crazy

anyway i ended up waking up on time with my alarm clock but it is going to cost $50 to get a replacement phone from verizon which is rediculous so now i am waiting until dec 23 which will end up dec 27 because of christmas eve and christmas to get a new phone cuz then it will be free so right now i am using my moms personal phone which just leads to more problems. why? well because i have no numbers and i have no idea how to use her lovely phone ugh... anyway that is my crazy story for now so if you need to get a hold of me i have a diff number until dec when i can get a new phone and go back to my old number kind of confusing!

ok this is my new favorite show it's intense!! they show all of these crazy accidents and natural disasters and stuff! it's absolutely amazing! you have to watch it!
